Carthago History
Carthago have been on the motorhome scene since 1979, with it’s founder Karl-Heinz Schuler. Originally based in Ravensbur, Germany they started small, specialising in converting the VW bus with as little as 10 employees. Their premium liner series you see today, begun as their M-Liner back in 1998, it was their first line of vehicles on a Mercedes Base and was a huge turning point for Carthago. A few years later they cessed VW based vehicle production and decided to concentrate on producing high quality motorhomes on Mercedes Benz Sprinter/IVECO chassis’. Throughout the years this M-Liner expanded and in 2004 they released the chic range at Dusseldorf’s Caravan Salon. As demand grew and Carthago’s overwhelming success became reality, the company moved to Aulendorf, Germany and created ‘Carthago City’ which you can visit today. Over the past 10 years Carthago have boomed, becoming one of Europe’s leading motorhome manufactuers. Their classic design and premium quality means the demand remains and with their latest release of the C-Tourer 145 RB LE their success continues.
