Hymer History
Hymer was started in 1957 when they built the original “Troll” caravan, a few years later they then moved across into motorhomes, creating the first ever Hymermobil the “caravano” in 1961. Since then Hymer have worked to continuously push their product innovation. Since the early 70s Hymer have been a class favourite, particularly with their PUAL body shell development in 1978. More recently, they celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2007 and a few years later opened the Erwin Hymer Museum in Hymer’s home town Bad Waldsee. This means the museum sits opposite the factory in the same town where it all began in 1957. Hymer’s latest press favourite is the Venture S, with it’s unique design and modern interior Hymer have remained in everyone’s interest throughout the years.
